Inasmuch is implementing all NSW Health Care Orders to ensure our residents stay safe and it is pleasing that all residents have received their Covid vaccinations and large percentage of staff are also fully vaccinated with others planned to be completed by mid September. Thanks to our clinical staff and our local doctors who have worked in partnership with Inasmuch to ensure that we are in the best position to avoid a Covid outbreak.

We understand it is difficult for families and friends to not be able to visit but staff can arrange a face time or skype session to maintain contact with our residents.

The Inasmuch Board of Directors are pleased to announce that the Australian Government have advised of the success of the ACAR funding submission lodged by Inasmuch in February 2021 and the funding will be a great opportunity to increase our aged care services fort Sussex Inlet and continue the focus of the Board and management on improving our facilities for our residents.

This funding will provide:

  • 28 additional aged care or respite bed licences to be used for Russ Murray lodge which will then extend the aged care and respite places available in Sussex Inlet

Other funding was awarded for facility upgrades:

  • $135,000 for upgrade of Ainslie House
  • $95,000 for upgrade of the hostel kitchens
  • $103,000 for upgrade of bottom floor of Russ Murray Lodge

Congratulations to Michala, Kate, Shirley, the clinical  care team and all Inasmuch staff on meeting the Aged Care Standards for Ainslie House in our recent audit and gaining full accreditation with positive feedback received from the Aged Care Assessors.
